About the presenters:

Dorothy Friedman August is a widely published award winning poet and author of three books of poetry, including Family Album and The Liberty Years. Her fourth book L SHAPED ROOM, will be published by Poets Wear Prada this fall. She has won two New York Foundation of the Arts fellowships and a Puffin Foundation grant and was poetry editor of Downtown Magazine for over ten years. She has published in numerous periodicals such as The Partisan Review, Hanging Loose, Mudfish, and The California Quarterly. Friedman August has also written articles, book reviews and articles for The Village Voice, The East Village Eye, Downtown and other publications and collaborated on a musical comedy revue, GORILLA KISSES with Carol Polcovar She is currently teaching at Borough of Manhattan Community College and working on a memoir, THE BASTARD HEIRS, an excerpt of which will be published in the upcoming non-fiction book A HISTORY OF THE JEWS OF THE LOWER EAST SIDE, published by Clayton Patterson.

Lois Kagan Mingus is a company member of The Living Theatre, DADAnewyork and The Wycherly Systers, Works in Europe, Latin America and throughout the US as an actor, dancer, director and playwright. Her poems and articles have been published by DaughterSpeak, LaMia Ink, The Western States Theatre Review and Maintenant6:A Journal of Contemporary Dada Writing and Art. Lois is co-founder of Action Racket Theatre and has spoken at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum, in addition to being a judge and workshop leader at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Tom Walker has worked as actor and archivist with the Living Theatre for 40 years.

Bonny Finberg has published fiction, essays, poetry, photographs and reviews. Her poetry chapbook, with photo collages, DéjA VU, was published in 2011 by Corrupt Press. “How the Discovery of Sugar Produced the Romantic Era,” a short story collection, was published by Sisyphus Press, 2006 and was documented in the feature length video “5 GUYS READ FINBERG.” Publishers’ Weekly said of her work that it "…exudes a stunning sensual sensibility." She has been translated into French, Hungarian and Japanese. Published in the Outlaw Bible of American Poetry (Thunder’s Mouth Press), in the anthologies Unbearables, Crimes of the Beats, Help Yourself, The Worst Book I Ever Read and Unbearable Big Book of Sex. Her work has been aired on the radio in London and Amsterdam. She lives in Paris and New York.

Amber (Director, Feldenkrais Associates) is the cornucopia fruit and vegetable lady.  A fossilized resin from antediluvian plants, Amber has long been coveted for its incandescent beauty and reputed talismanic properties.
