AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT® (ATM)
These lessons help you to reduce chronic stress and tension; you learn to move comfortably, easily and gracefully without pain or discomfort. ATM classes are verbally directed non-strenuous movement sequences designed to expand the boundaries of your functioning self.
FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION® (FI)
This is the one-to-one form of our work. Here the learning is communicated through slow, gentle touch. The practitioner provides new information directly to the neuro-muscular system. FI is for anyone who needs to give attention to particular physical discomforts. It's equally beneficial for people who want to perform and feel better physically and mentally. Call for appointment.
Feldenkrais®, Feldenkrais Method®, Awareness Through Movement®, and Functional Integration® are registered service marks of the Feldenkrais Guild® of North America.
The fee for a four-week series of ATM classes is $75. Call to register:
212-242-2309 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feldenkrais in the Media
“Trying the Feldenkrais Method for Chronic Pain,”
Jane E. Brody,
The New York Times, October 30, 2017
Dr Norman Doidge, Interview excerpt on Moshe Feldenkrais
“Through awareness we can learn to move with astonishing lightness and freedom—at almost any age—and thereby improve our living circumstances, not only physically—but emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
The Feldenkrais Method® is an educational system centered on movement, aiming to expand and refine the use of the self through awareness. It is intended for those who wish to improve their movement repertoire (dancers, musicians, artists), as well as those wishing to reduce pain or limitations in movement, and many who want to improve their general well-being and personal development.
